My Experience.

While at JMU, I was actively involved in several on-campus media roles. I began as a photojournalist for The Breeze, the university’s award-winning student newspaper, where I covered everything from live music and local businesses to campus events and features. My passion for storytelling through visuals led me to join the JMU Athletics Department’s video content team. There, I filmed games and practices, edited promotional content and highlight reels, and managed large digital asset libraries.

My work spans a wide range of projects, including short films, documentaries, advertisements, and branded content. With over three years of hands-on editing experience, I’m highly proficient in crafting compelling narratives and visual pieces.

Outside of academic and university roles, I also served as the official Student Brand Ambassador for Long Drink at JMU. I was personally selected to represent their brand on campus, developing creative campaigns and social media content to boost brand awareness and engagement. This experience sharpened my skills in strategic branding, photography, and promotional design while giving me a deeper appreciation for connecting brands with their audiences.

In addition to my major, I pursued a minor in Sports Communication, which strengthened my writing, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills. I’ve also completed coursework in Public Relations, giving me a strong foundation in audience engagement, campaign development, and media planning.

Whether behind the camera, at the editing desk, or crafting branded content, I bring energy, creativity, and attention to detail to everything I do. I’m excited to keep growing as a media creator and am always open to new opportunities where I can contribute meaningful, visually-driven content.
